Josh Sundquist, Paralympic ski racer, was the featured speaker at the annual
Friends of Scouting luncheon in The Chattanoogan, which benefits the
Cherokee Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.
"Escape to Rio" was the theme of a Mardi Gras gala held at The Walden
Club to benefit the Chattanooga Bach Choir. Helen Stout and Neil Hammitt were
the Mardi Gras queen and king.
Author Keith Williamson was the featured speaker at The Changing Face of
Brain Injury luncheon held at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
Mr. Williamson's autobiography, “Speechless,” describes being left unable to
talk due to a brain injury suffered in a fishing accident.
