Chattanooga: New budget includes $58.4 million in project money

The Chattanooga City Council received the 2009-2010 capital budget today, which includes more than $58.4 million in project expenditures, city records show.

More than $13.5 million is delegated for improvements at Enterprise South industrial park and the site of the new Volkswagen plant, records show.

Another $10 million could go to sewer system improvements and $6 million is allocated for roads, records show.

The City Council did not discuss the budget after it was handed out today during the Budget, Personnel and Finance Committee meeting. Council members plan to discuss the budget next week, said Councilwoman Carol Berz, chairman of the committee.
